Glabrous shrub up to 1m. Stems reddish brown. Leafs broadly ovate, subsessile, obtuse. Inflorescence lax 2 to 4-flowered. Flowers large, up to 4.5 cm across. Petals lanceolate, about 2 cm long. Fruit a hard, dark brown capsule when ripe.
