The Flemish carvings

Under this heading are grouped four sculptures of equal dimensions 60x22x14 centimeters, carved in polychrome wood, representing: Saint Lucia, Saint Catherine of Alexandria, Saint Claire of Assisi and two saints identifiable as Saint Bernard, with another smaller of the Apostle Santiago el Mayor. They come from the primitive altarpiece dedicated to St. Bartholomew of the Church of San Juan Bautista of Telde, then became property of the Presbyter Don Cristóbal Suárez González, who had them in his private Oratory of Our Lady of Health in Era de Mota (Valsequillo de Gran Canaria). They were exhibited in the Municipal Library Benito Pérez Galdós of the municipality, and are currently part of the Movable Property of the aforementioned parish. They are declared as an Asset of Cultural Interest, with the category of Movable Property, by the Government of the Canary Islands, Decree 60/2007 of March 26.
