Sixteenth century, unknown author, belongs to the Sevillian current, possibly linked to the school of Juan de Roelas. It was already related in the inventory of 1889. In “History of the Cathedral of the Canary Islands” of the priest Don Santiago Cazorla León, that the dean of our cathedral, Don Francisco Mexía, on a trip to Seville sent as his gift two canvases of large paintings: The Lord in the Garden, which is in the cemetery of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and a San Jerónimo that can be seen in the Parish Church of Valsequillo de Gran Canaria.
